The mission to guard the city of spider-Man brings him into conflict with various supervillains. Fisk is sent to prison, but cautions that he had been the only person. Fisk's lack gives rise to some supernaturally powered, demonic-mask wearing gang called the Demons who begin carving up town for the strong Mr. Side, who can corrupt people through Cheap EXP farming his touch.
